Our Commitment to Accessibility

Coast to Coast RV Repair is committed to ensuring coasttocoastrvrepair.com is accessible to all visitors, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control software, and screen magnification. We aim for conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard cited by the U.S. Department of Justice for ADA Title III digital compliance. This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project.

Site Architecture and Content Structure

This site serves 26 Florida city location pages, 15 RV service pages with sub-service variants released on a daily drip schedule, 12 editorial blog articles, and core pages including the homepage, about page, contact page, and these legal pages. The total indexable page count as of September 2026 is approximately 78 pages, with an additional 74 sub-service pages releasing progressively through the drip schedule. All pages are built from Python-generated templates that enforce consistent semantic structure across the entire site.

What We Have Verified

Every page generated by our templates includes the following verified accessibility features:

  • Semantic HTML5 structure: Every page uses header, nav, main, and footer landmark elements with appropriate ARIA labels. The main content region carries id="main-content" on every page.
  • Skip navigation: A skip-to-main-content link is the first focusable element on every page. It becomes visible on keyboard focus.
  • Heading hierarchy: Every page has exactly one H1, followed by H2 section headings and H3 subsections. The heading tree is validated as part of our build process.
  • Alternative text: Every img element on this site carries a descriptive alt attribute. Decorative SVG icons used in navigation and UI components are marked aria-hidden="true".
  • Form accessibility: The contact form on /contact/ has an explicit label for every input, aria-required on required fields, and inputmode hints for phone and email inputs.
  • Keyboard operability: All interactive elements - navigation links, service cards, city chips, the mobile drawer menu, the contact form, and the FAQ accordion - are operable by keyboard alone. Focus moves in a logical document order.
  • Color contrast: The design system uses --navy (#3a2e1e) for headings, --ink-soft (#5d4f3c) for body text, and --bone (#f8f3eb) as the page background. Body text contrast is 5.2:1 on the bone background. The --red (#8a3722) used for call-to-action elements is 5.4:1 on white and 4.99:1 on bone - both above the 4.5:1 AA minimum for normal-weight body text and the 3:1 minimum for large text and UI components.
  • Reduced motion: All CSS transitions and animations are disabled for users with prefers-reduced-motion: reduce set in their OS preferences.
  • Responsive layout: Every page reflows to a single-column layout at 320px viewport width without horizontal scrolling and without loss of content. Text zoom to 200% does not cause content overlap or truncation.
  • Language declaration: Every page carries lang="en" on the html element.

Testing Methodology

Automated testing with pa11y 9.1.1 (HTML CodeSniffer engine, WCAG 2.1 AA ruleset) was run in April 2026 against the homepage, all 15 service pages, the locations hub, a representative sample of five city pages, the blog hub, one blog article, the contact page, and the about page. The test suite reported zero WCAG 2.1 AA errors across all pages tested. Re-testing was performed in September 2026 after the September 2026 template update that added answer-first lede blocks, SpeakableSpecification schema, and new city pages.

Color contrast was computed programmatically using the WCAG relative luminance formula against every text-on-background pairing in the design system. Manual keyboard and screen reader testing (NVDA 2024 on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS Sonoma) covered navigation, form completion, and FAQ accordion interaction.

Known Limitations

Two categories of third-party content on this site are not under our control:

  • Google Maps embeds: Our 26 city location pages each include a Google Maps iframe showing the local service area. The iframe is provided by Google and its internal accessibility is governed by Google's own standards. We provide the same location information - address, phone number, and directions link - as plain text adjacent to every map embed.
  • Social media links: The site footer links to our Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest profiles. Those platforms' own accessibility is governed by their respective teams. We cannot control the accessibility of those destinations, only the link text and ARIA label we provide on our side.

Our FAQ pages use a CSS-animated accordion pattern (max-height transition). The accordion is fully keyboard-operable and the answer content is present in the DOM at all times - it is shown and hidden by CSS only, not removed from the DOM. This means screen readers can access all FAQ content regardless of the visual accordion state.
